This Privacy Policy explains how Cork & Candles Franchising LLC (“ArtistryHost,” “we,” “us”) collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information in connection with the ArtistryHost booking platform and related websites and services (the “Service”).
Who this policy covers
The Service is used by two kinds of people: operators — the businesses that use ArtistryHost to take and manage bookings — and guests — the customers who book experiences through an operator’s booking page. For guest information, the operator is the “controller” of that information and decides how it is used; ArtistryHost acts as a “processor” that handles it on the operator’s behalf. If you are a guest with a question about your booking or your data, contact the operator you booked with first.
Information we collect
- Operator account data: name, email address, password (stored hashed), business name and type, contact details, and the settings you configure.
- Guest booking data: name, email, phone number, party size, booking date/time, occasion, and any notes a guest provides when booking — submitted by the guest or entered by operator staff.
- Payment data: payments are processed by our payment providers (Square for guest payments, Stripe for operator subscriptions). We do not store full card numbers; we retain limited references (e.g. a charge identifier and the last four digits) needed to operate the Service.
- Usage & technical data: log data, device and browser information, IP address, and cookies or similar technologies used to keep you signed in and to operate and secure the Service.
How we use information
- Provide, operate, and maintain the Service and process bookings and payments.
- Send transactional messages — booking confirmations, reminders, operator alerts, and account notices.
- Provide customer support and respond to requests.
- Monitor, secure, debug, and improve the Service.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.
Text messages (SMS)
If you provide a mobile number when booking, the operator you book with may send you transactional text messages about that booking — confirmations and reminders — delivered through our SMS provider, Twilio. These are service messages, not marketing. Message frequency depends on your bookings (typically one confirmation and one reminder per booking). Message and data rates may apply.
You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message, and reply HELP for help. Mobile phone numbers and SMS consent are never sold, rented, or shared with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing purposes — they are used only to deliver booking-related messages on the operator’s behalf. Cookies, analytics & advertising
We use cookies and similar technologies that are necessary to provide the Service (for example, to keep you signed in). Operators may choose to enable their own analytics or advertising measurement (such as a Google Analytics property or a Meta Pixel) on their booking pages; where an operator enables these, that operator is responsible for the required disclosures and consents. ArtistryHost may also use its own measurement tools on its marketing website. You can control cookies through your browser settings.
How we share information
We do not sell personal information. We share information only as described here:
- With operators: guest booking information is shared with the operator the guest booked with, so they can fulfill the booking.
- With service providers (sub-processors): trusted vendors that process data on our behalf to run the Service, listed below.
- For legal reasons: to comply with law, respond to lawful requests, or protect the rights, safety, and security of users and the public.
- Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to this policy.

We rely on the following service providers to operate the Service. Each processes only the data needed for its function and is bound by confidentiality and data-protection obligations.

Data retention
We retain personal information for as long as needed to provide the Service, comply with legal, tax, and accounting requirements, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When information is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it.
Security
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information, including encryption in transit, encryption of sensitive credentials at rest, and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your rights & choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your personal information, or to opt out of certain processing. Operators can manage account data in their settings or contact us at hello@artistryhost.com. Guests should direct requests about booking data to the operator they booked with; we will assist that operator as their processor. We do not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
Children
The Service is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Where information is processed
We and our sub-processors are based in the United States, and information is processed there. By using the Service you understand information may be processed in the United States.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the effective date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice.
